those who ain't wit it can rot!

don't wanna tangle with you, I'd rather tangle with him.
I think I'm gonna bash his head in...

  2. My mother has no problem with me playing video games, since I started playing to improve hand-eye coordination. My ex girlfriend loved games, so she had no problem with me playing them. Most of my friends play video games, those that don't are apathetic towards my game playing.

  3. My parents think its just a waste of time and prefer me to do more school work stuff. Typical asian parents stuff.

...since I started playing to improve hand-eye coordination.
Ha. I got a perfect score on my hand and eye co-ordination test when I went to the doctors to help do research on how cancer and chemo-therapy effect a childs educational life. The rest of the tests I averaged out on, but dam I smoked the hand and eye co-ordination. Thanks Nintendo!

  4. My whole family hates Video Games. Between my brothers and I we all play. Me being the oldest (25)and the youngest one(12) are the only ones that actually play. The other two all they play are sports games.

Most of my girlfriends disliked Videogames with the exception of my last girl, she love Tetris and Puzzle Fighter and owned a GBA.

Funny thing is I think the reason we broke up was becasue of Mario and Metroid.

  5. My mom complains all the time, but that's just a front for telling me to get a job me thinks.
Girlfriend is hooked on Mr Driller(start the official HS thread already Pacrappa) so no problem there.

  6. My girlfriend isn't really into console gaming. She digs PC gaming, D&D, and CCGs.

Like burg, most of my law school friends don't understand my gaming habit. Not too many of them play games, and those that do stick to Halo and Madden. Although I did see one guy at the law library checking out the Ikaruga review on Gamespot a few weeks ago. That brought a smile to my face.

  7. My parents hate video games, and the fact that I spend all my cash on them. My mom has told me on several occasions that she wishes that she had never bought my brother and me a NES so many years ago.

  8. Well my Father is the one who got me into video games, but he can't stand the 3-D games, because the camera pisses him off beyond belief. He is the main reason I love RPGs and fantasy novels. As well as Classic Rock, oh the sweet Styx...

My sister is an intermediate fan, while not obsessed like I am, she'll play the occasional game, and usually not finish it.

My mom plays Pong, and a few of the young kid games that my Nephew also plays. Problem is, she gets motionsickness from playing Crash Bandicoot.

My Older sister, plays a lot of RPGs, usually not finishing them (She didn't finish Kingdom Hearts because my Nephwer, her son, saved over her game with um.. mine).

My 4 year old Nephew likes games a lot, and plays Kingdom Hearts, Mario, and a lot of the kid titles (Nothing against them of course) and is pretty good. He memorizes things well, and just screws around. He can get pretty far into Kingdom hearts, now he just needs to understand the miniscule plot.

I want a girlfriend that if not plays games, at least doesn't mind my hobby, and understands how I feel abou them.

That's bizarre. My wife laughs at me when I talk to the screen. Usually because it's some kind of nonsence outburst like "WHAT NOW?!" or "YOU LIKE THAT?! HUH?! DO YOU?!"

I just kind of yell it out into the silence of the room. She thinks I'm nuts, but laughs histerically none the less.
Now I feel better knowing I'm not the only one.

Last Christmas eve at my parents' house, my wife started crying when she was telling them about my behaviour. Suddenly my parents were glaring at me like I was a nutcase, and grilled me with questions about whether I abuse her. For the record, I've never laid a finger on her or spoken a harsh word toward her, but it didn't matter. I was guilty with no chance to be proven innocent.

The following morning, I opened up my gift from my parents. 007 Nightfire. I looked straight-faced at the case in my hands, while my parents were joy-crazed and giddily exclaiming, "Do you like it!? Do you like it!?"

Well, I've had my fair share of upset parents due to the same thing...but my situation was different. Allow me to elaborate:

When Turok the first came out for N64, I snatched it up like so much candy. It's still one of my favorite games for the 64. After playing for a bit I discovered that the Explosive Arrows were my second favorite weapon, and my first was...the knife! I loved how the soldiers would squirt, screaming bloody murder while choking on their own vital fluids. In several crazed gaming nights, I'd turn all the lights off, flip the game on, and hide from the soldiers in an area that their pre-programmed path would cross. As soon as their backs were turned to me I'd jump behind them and slash them with all my might screaming, "DIE!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! (or a variation thereof)"

Needless to say, I woke my parents on several occations...and still haven't heard the end of it. It's joked about now, but when it happened it was a serious affair.

    That's just screwed up.
