  1. First Sony HD Pics Now Online

The first pictures of Sony's Playstation 2 Hard Drive have apprently found their way onto the Internet, and into your eyes. Take them in, if you're not one of the five people who will buy one. Look for the HD to be bundled with Final Fantasy XI, expected to be priced at one thousand dollars...or ten...actually, no one knows yet. We'll have more details as they become available.

I agree. I don't have any interest in Final Fantasy XI, but it would be a good sign if the hard drive was sold separately.

  5. This hard drive seems like such a bone-headed move. I keep getting a Sega-ish add-on vibe from it.

  6. What other US games use the hard drive... I don't even think there are any besides FFXI so the hard drive would be useless until more are released anyway, so if you don't want FFXI you can probably save your money till more games support it

Xenosaga in Japan used it for quick loading but I don't even think that was kept in the US version

  7. We will be meeting with SCEA...so if any of you have questions or concerns, please post them here!

    Here are my questions:

    1. Will someone be able to get a hard drive without having to buy Final Fantasy XI or the Linux kit?

    2. Will the hard drive be useful for backing up files from memory cards?

    3. What games will utilize the hard drive, and how will they utilize it?

    4. Would they consider producing a media player, so that music or pictures could be stored on the hard drive and played back at a later time?

  9. These are probably ones that you will already ask, but I'll throw them out anyway just because I would like to know...

    1. What will the price be around?
    2. Are there any plans of having any web browsers or other software to be installed on the hard drive?
    3. Will it be available packaged with a game or sold seperately.

That's all that I can really think of for right now...I might think of some more that you weren't already planning to ask.

  10. Only one question- I don't want FFXI. Why should I buy a hard drive?
