Well, "were" you could start is by ripping .WAV files off a sound-test mode with an emulator, and encoding those to MP3.
well, im working on a videogame music minidisc, and well, i want to get it started off with Splash Wave from Out Run, but i only have midi's of it, and Minidisc players don't support midi, so i need to get some mp3s of it.
any help would be very appreciated.
yeah, im sorta going for the whole 'no work invloved' thing.
luckily being that Frogacuda is the master of disaster from lancaster, he went through the trouble of doing all the work for me.
i don't know why i just said that, he's actually from jersey, but i felt like thanking him somehow.
I seem to remember a link being on these boards that had tons of game soundtracks and such on it. I'll do a search or two and see if I find anything.

www.zophar.net. They have almost everything. You need to download the appropriate winamp plugins to play/convert them, though.Originally posted by Jeremy

well md players dont support mp3s in the first place. you using one of the newer ones w/netmd(usb)? easiest thing to do would just hook it up to the sound out and record straight to disc. its a slow process but it works. course you might have to deal w/possible analog noise/interference unless you have the usb-optical adapter. and if you go mp3, youre basically gonna end up original->mp3->atrac (md format). if youre a quality freak, record the uncompressed source to md, then do mp3s to listen on your computer if you want.
Frogacuda, that's the link. Thanks. I'm searching Kazaa Lite for Out Run stuff. After playing Sega Ages, I can't get enough of the songs in OR.
