Peak of RE for me. Great story.
I know that Psygnosis did the PSX port of Darkstalkers for Capcom, even though it was never listed in the credits or manual. It was damn good too, aside from the slowdown here and there.Originally posted by Nikorasu
are there any other 'famous' cases of great dev. companies 'ghost developing' titles with another company?

ive played my fair share of the RE games including the PC revs and the rereleased PSX dual shock games. the first game will always be my favorite weather its the remake or the original. the second was okay....i got it day one and played thru that weekend and never played it again. part three was more of a "i feel obligated to play it because it's an RE game". also played that game through once. code veronica i liked probably about as much as re0 which would put it firmly in the #2 spot for me. funny thing....the original game is the only one ive beaten multiple times.
Not really a funny thing...the original was something new and fairly unique, so of course you'd play it over and over. Me, I think I played part 2 over and over more, simply because you had to to unlock all the cool stuff and see all the endings.Originally posted by Dragonmaster Dyne

As for Code: Veronica, it's very good, though the overall feel (for the most part, anyway) is that of an action movie as opposed to horror. I think my favorites in the series are the first two.

I loved Code Veronica. Only game in the series I really can say that about.
For me it breaks down like this:
REmake > RE > CV > 0 > 2 > 3 > Gaiden
Yoshi, CV is better than 0?![]()
I liked Zero a lot as well. The teamwork thing could be a good way to take the series in the future. I'd say this is how I have them:
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Code: Veronica
Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil Gaiden
I just can't bring myself to include survivor. So there it is. 2 or 3 weren't really as fun for me, because I like the claustrophobic feel of the other games. In the original you're stuck in a mansion with zombie dogs waiting outside so you can't leave. Code: Veronica, you start on a prison-island in the middle of nowhere then...you're in Antarctica...'nuff said. Zero, you're on a speeding train full of killer leeches. Gaiden's okay since it takes place on a cruise ship, but the rest of the game is horrible. I like the no escape feel. 2 or 3 don't give that to me.

Those two are close. Unfortunately, I haven't played CV since Complete was released on DC, so it may be that my memories are too kind to it.Originally posted by Despair
