What the hell are you talking about? The story is the only redeeming quality of Gaiden. I won't spoil it for you. I suppose it is a good challenge like crappy games usually are. Not difficult, just trying to play through the poor mechanics. Like TROGDOR!!!!Originally posted by Despair
Hmm, I kinda digging GaidenWhile the story is throw away, the action is ok, and I actually like the challengin hit the bar battle system
And at least there are no voice acting for Barry![]()

but the thing is, i STILL play thru it every so often. i just recently went thru the wretched Saturn rev last nightOriginally posted by Dolemite
Not really a funny thing...the original was something new and fairly unique, so of course you'd play it over and over.![]()
There are not that much story, really. Or at least in comparison to console RE games. I think I'm about half in the game(maybe more), and find it challenging enough(as trying to conserve the ammo, and determine which zombies have power ups, and which can be simply avoided. Plus the save system, makes it harder, since sometimes you go through alot of things before it lets you save.Originally posted by spacecowboy

I've spent too much time going thru gamefaqs to find the answer to this question, hopefully someone here knows the answer to this.. can you unlock first person mode in the main game? I've unlocked it in battle mode and thats cool and all but to go thru the whole game in first person would be reason enough to play through it again.

Awe, come on, the Saturn version isn't all bad. It has high res backgrounds.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne

CV was a great game. I don't particualy care for the X Version, with the changes to the sub-character's etc, but it's still the peak of the series.
Still have to play 0 and REMake, though.
Having beat CV yesterday, I have to say it's by far my favorite in the series. So many unexpected things happened that I didn't expect to happen, gameplay-wize and story-wize. Everyone who likes these types of games needs to go find a copy(it's probably $5 DC or $10 PS2). I just hope RE4 can at least match how good CV is. But anyway, back to my original question, does anyone know if there is a first person mode for the main game? Also, I've noticed in some of the faqs that the authors refer to skill level settings. My DC CV doesn't have any choices, maybe thats just for CV Complete.

Unfortunately it is only available in battle mode.Originally Posted by kbuchanan
