negitoro~Minivans are much better for karting people around. That's true.
Honestly, who the hell would own a rear wheel drive car in Minnesota?Originally posted by basemies
Most people use vans as work trucks. I rarely see anyone driving a full size van that isn't a work truck or conversion van. I'm not fond of pickup trucks either, I see them as a penis extension. Almost all of the aggressive drivers I encounter are in pickups or SUVs.
I'd say they're all pretty equally agressive in Dallas. And the van I was hit by had a family in it.
Soccer moms. I see them everywhere in SUVs, and for some reason it takes 16 tries before they can park straight...
cell phone driving bothers me too.
I like my women like I like my coffee. Covered in bees!

One time I was sitting on my porch in suburban New Jersey and in the span of about 10 minutes I must have seen 7 or 8 huge SUVs drive past me, all of which had but one tiny/old woman in it. I mean, I dont know if its penis envy or something, but Im sorry they look ridiculous in that box.Originally posted by Atlas

In Los Angeles, everybody has an SUV as some sort of ego-booster/Im a big star rolling on dubs sort of thing. Cause I know that nobody takes the damn things off-road around here.
I hate SUVs.
I don't really take mine offroad. It is fun once in a while to just say 'screw it' to going around and drive over the curb. So I guess that makes me offroader #1.Originally posted by diffusionx

I don't think they should take SUVs off the road at all. In fact, I DO recognize they have their purpose and place... if you live on a snowy mountain or like to go kayaking in the woods in the weekend... then I have no problems with them since there's a need filled not filled by another type of vehicle.Originally posted by Schlep
I drive a mid-size SUV since I was in a pretty fantastic accident. If you're going to take SUV's off the road, then you have to take pick-ups and vans off too. I was nearly killed by a damn full sized ram van who wasn't watching what the hell he was doing. The ladder in the middle of the road that caused me to spin out in the first place didn't help either.
I'm just wishing that the fad of driving them would die leaving only the people who NEED them to drive them. If I'm going to be inconvenienced and compromised, it's just maddening that it's for a cosmetic/image decision as opposed to educated decision leading to a practical purpose.
I particularly like when they've finished parking and then load/unload their kids and their kids are struggling to climb in or out the SUV becuase it's so high. It's almost like rock climbing for juniors... it's so retarded.Originally posted by Atlas

What's an SUV? Seriously I have no idea. Please describe this interesting facet of American culture.
Jesus, I live in Southern California, and the amount of people who drive these things is sick. The vast majority use it for solo commuting purposes only.
Also, I was happy to hear just the other day that the town I live in is Number 3 with a bullet on the most polluted cities in the USA. Whoo, rock on!
Heheh, Sidez - you know Land Rovers, Range Rovers? Every other vehicle you see in America is like one of those, except often bigger, much bigger.
