nah. although i'll take Johnpv's word for it when he said they reused some textures, there's still no excuse for the game looking the way it did. they had a shit load of time to work on it, and they did start from scratch.

It amazes me that you can find that game visually unappealing. Oh well, to each their own.

  3. when did i say the game looks bad? it looks pretty nice, and gets a nicer towards the end.

all im saying is that given the teams resources, development time, and knowledge of the hardware, they did a really shitty job at improving the games graphics.

Am I the only one that thought ED looked good?

  6. I thought it looked good and I didn't even know it was ever an N64 game.

  7. I hear that MGS Integral for PSone had a limited FPS mode. Is that true?

Cause honestly, I just can't get over how much this looks like a slightly upgraded PSone game. They did say that the game was gonna run on a suped up MGS2 engine. It just isn't adding up.

Did Konami bother doing any extra work on the the game graphically for PSone?

I just really want the developer to make really good use of the hardware with this game.
What are the chances that it's photoshopped?

Photoshopped from what? Sure the gun and the lifebar and such could be stuck in, but the majority of the scene isn't in any existing MGS game, at least not looking as it does here.

I don't see how it can be anything other than real.

  9. Even money.

  10. Okay, at this point, I give up. All I can say is...this is Silicon Knights. I should have expected it. I also hope that these are just early pictures.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the game is gonna suck, but just another underwhelming Silicon Knights game. Graphically that is. This team really should do a lot better graphically.
Who knows, remember how bad the first Metroid Prime pictures were?

I'm sure the gameplay will be just fine though.

You know what? For work in progress, it's not looking that bad.

Okay, I feel somewhat better about the game again.

I also take back what I said about it looking like a PSone game.
