Thread: Sonic Heroes

  1. Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, and Espio the Chameleon.
Charmy was a breakthrough character, as his species is his actual last name.
Basking in their obscurity with Bark, and Bean the Dynamite, I assume.
But, one's an AM2 character and the other's an old Master System hero... they don't count.

  2. The engine is all Sonic Adventure 1+2, but the theme and style of the game reminds me of Sonic Arcade and other Sonic games from yesteryear. It's great to see ST reviving past characters from the Sonic universe (and thankfully Rouge is nowhere to be found). I'm not as critical of the Sonic Adventure series as others, so long as core Sonic gameplay takes center stage, I'm sold.

  4. ...and according to that "to the game" site...
SEGA’s legendary mascot Sonic The Hedgehog® makes his historic multi-platform debut and embarks on his biggest adventure ever, with his trademark blazing speed and a new gameplay twist in “Sonic Heroes.” Sonic and his friends have evolved, adopting a configuration feature that lets gamers control three playable characters simultaneously, using Sonic’s speed, Knuckles’ power, and Tails’ ability to fly, to conquer massive worlds. This team-based gameplay marks the next evolution in Sonic’s gaming career, taking platform gaming to a completely new level. Using the three formations and the powerful moves that each team member has, Sonic and his friends combine forces to battle the ultimate evil.
Play as one of four teams for a total of 12 playable characters - Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, or Team Chaotix - each with their own unique signature moves and story line
Each team boasts multiple specialized stages with unique missions and CG movies driving each “team” story forward
Experiment with team formations to learn the best way to defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and navigate massive environments
Each stage contains multiple paths and missions for maximum replayability

If anyone is curious, here are their profiles:

    ¬ Espio the Chameleon

    ¬ Vector the Crocodile

    ¬ Charmy Bee

I have never played Chaotix, but I think I like Espio.

  6. Not mindblowing graphics, but a nice idea neverthless.
    Thanks for the info dudes.

Hope it's not some take on The Lost Vikings.

  9. I think it looks like a friggen blast. They are doing exactly what I was hoping for with Sonic in 3D, finally.
    A is for action

    No it didn't.

And I like Cream. Amy would be ok if she had a different play mechanic (read: no hammer), but Big and Rouge are silly and need to go into the Forgotten Character Vault, along with all the Chaotix crew.
