PSO - What's an XBox FSOD look like?

Is it supposed to be a frozen screen where everything just stops?

The game has just stopped on the load screen with the rings for the THIRD time today on me, zapping away more of my weapons. I got practically nothing left but crap.

I'm hearing the drive struggle a bit, is it my XBox? I posted this question on the main forum, but no one seemed to know if it was the drive. With all the E3 stuff, it probably got lost in the shuffle.

In both instances I've had it happen (neither of which were in a load tunnel) it's frozen solid to the sound of a loud, buzzing audio loop.

I'm hesitant to say it's your 'box, but it wouldn't surprise me considering the other troubles you've been having.

Those "load tunnels" are called "Pipes" , and If you freeze on them (or anywhere) you will lose your unequiped wepons (if xbox is the same as GC/DC), what I do is just have on my inventory what I need and equiped, the other I leave it on the bank and If I want it I will just go to the bank and equip it and deposit the unequiped one so I dont take chances of losing a rare wepon or anything special. The only thing you can't save are the items like monomates, moon atomizers, scaper dolls etc, you will have to rebuy them.

If you're having problems with meseta what I do is take all the normal items while I hunt and then sell them, ??? wepons for me always tend to sell for more money than normal ones or other stuff, armors sell for good meseta also.

I think it's my console, I tried playing some other games and I had read errors too. Strange, I take pretty damn good care of my consoles, but I guess if you manufacture these things somewhere else to cut costs, this is gonna happen.

I also tried tipping the system at 45 degrees (something learned from PSX and PS2), which seems to alleviate the problem slightly, but it still happens. I think I'm gonna try to take my Box apart and tinker around inside.

Ugh. I got one of these yesterday, and lost about 4 hours of play time, 5 levels, 15 mag levels and 4 rares (although they were worthless Agnis and things like that).

It's the first time it's happened to me, although I got something similar online when the game stalled as someone was joining for like 2 minutes. Everyone could still talk, it was weird. I just reset my machine.

Anyway, the FSoD was so discouraging, I have no will to go through that stuff again with that character and I'm switching back to my RAmar (who lost EVERY item he had thanks to some memory card hijinks). So check the charity thread if anyone wants some Force stuff.
