Thread: Texas Democrats flee to Oklahoma

  1. Texas Democrats flee to Oklahoma

"The diversion started Sunday night when 58 Texas Democrats slipped across the Red River to take up temporary residence at a Holiday Inn in Ardmore, Okla. On Monday, Republican Gov. Rick Perry sent the Texas Rangers to Ardmore to arrest and escort the AWOL Democrats back to Austin, a move allowed under the Texas Constitution."

  6. The OK govenor is correct, Texas doesn't have jurisdiction in Oklahoma -- but isn't OK required to extradite them? This is against Texas law, even if it is funny.

One other thing -- it's alright for Democrats to redistrict, yet now it's suddenly a horrible thing for the Republicans to pull the same trick? Ah, duplicity -- one of the trademarks of the Democratic Party.

Fun fact: you can substitute any political party's name on Earth in the above sentence and still be correct!
