No the music isn't the same.

There are new levels, so I believe they have their own. BUT there is an option to play with VF4 levels/music (this is what I have heard).

You're tripping buddy. VF4 looks way better than Tekken, even the jaggy version. It destroys Tekken 4 in like character models, facial detail, animation, clothing movement, water physics, everything except textures, image quality, and background size. ALthough the background detail in VF4 is way better. Vf4EVO just flat out kills it. SC2 is a different story though. Sometimes VF4EVO looks better than SC2, but SC2 just looks nice all the time and has no graphical flaws at all. Unlike VF4EVO having the occasional bad textures and Tekken 4 with the bland backgrounds and the low poly models.
I dissagree. VF4 is the ugliest 3d fighter of the current generation. The ugliest fighter of the past generation is VF3. The facial textures cause me physical pain to look at. I don't understand why this is because Shenmue's best visual feature was the faces. I'd say Tekken 4 looks noticably better, though I think it plays like shit.

The arcade lighting is too intense for the PS2. Textures have clearly taken a hit as well. Just look at Akira's face, he looks like he's smeared dirt on it.

What's wrong with the facial textures? they're pretty detailed with wrinkles and everything. Some of it doesn't look like skin but it hardly makes the game look ugly. the doll faces of Tekken are certainly not better.

  5. only 2o bucks? damn, I think this might be the time to jump on the VF bandwagon...

Too bad the lighting is completely wrong. Shimmering is pretty much gone but the aliasing is still pretty terrible. It makes Aoi's stage look nasty in particular. I still wish this was on DC, I reckon it could be done better on that. I'm sure we wouldn't have the memory card screw ups either...

    Best Fighting Game
    Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
    Developed by AM2
    Published by Sega

The two big fighters at this year's E3 were without a doubt Virtua Fighter 4 Evo and Soul Calibur II. While Namco's booth was SC II crazy, with tons of kiosks and even a SC II tournament, SEGA's booth had only one Virtua Fighter 4 Evo kiosk running. So little exposure for our fighting game of the show? Well, it doesn't make sense to us either, but what we do know is that VF 4 Evo is the deepest fighter out there, hands down. While it's definitely less accessible than Soul Calibur II, we feel that Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, is more impressive and has more to offer gamers. The choice was difficult, though.

"I can vouch - there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, like owning your own Neo Geo. To touch it, to look at it, to feel the kerchunk of a mammoth VHS sized cartridge plugging in. To turn it on and hear the "doodlydoo," and then sit or stand and play with those huge joysticks. To play on your TV or your monitor and just revel in the badass arcade feel of it."

I didn't bother reading the thread, but VF4 Evolution is coming to the US as a Greatest Hits title ($19.99) on August 12th.
