The pizza-eating turtles are back. Konami has them in their clutches again. We're looking at a beat-em-up, complete with cel-shaded graphics that keep to the TV show's style. It's like I'm a kid again...

Though the demo at E3 was short, it did take the half-shell heroes through a city street, underground, and into a Mouser factory. If anything was disappointing, it was the fact that the enemies were a pushover - good thing it still has time to stew in development. Fighting is what you would expect if you've ever played an older TMNT - two attacks, jump, and now you can toss throwing stars; mixing them up gives you different combos.

There's only a one and two player mode right now, and it looks like that's all we'll be getting. Something about camera trying to keep decent in a 3D environment and 4 human-controlled characters making it a hassle. However the GameCube and XBox versions seem like no-brainers for 4-player action...and speaking of which, those two are looking decidely better than the PS2 version. Although it does look like the other two were built from latter - go figure.
