I still haven't played Luftwaffe but I'm interested in this. I'm not big on flight sims but since you said it's more arcade-like, it sounds good to me.
I was so excited to see this at E3, I can't even tell you. Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe was one of my favorite PC games, and now LucasArts and Totally Games are making a followup on the PS2, XBox, and PC.
Here are my impressions, already posted in Headlines:

Anybody else excited about this game?

I remember playing through the original. The mission mode was very cool from what I remember, making me feel like I was really a member of the elite german flying squad. If this new one comes close to that I'll definitely pick it up, though I wish they'd make flight sims with flight stick controls rather than arcadish style.

just got this for PC. It's pretty cool. I'm going to have to buy a joystick because the keyboard control (with no mouse support) just doesn't cut it.
I'm getting pissed off though. In mission 3 i'm supposed to land and switch planes, but it won't let me land. The landing gear in my plane refuses to lower.
