The PS2 version of the popular card/battle/board game Culdcept will be released in America.
There was a running demo at E3 with all the English text localized but it's a moot point since if you've never played or read up on Culdcept beforehand, it's virtually impossible to get into, and thus, the kiosk was empty for most of E3...
Also, this game was at the Capcom booth but none of the representatives knew anything about it (they couldn't even recognize the name). Next to the Culdcept was a running full-version of Tube Slider, another NEC property, so I'm assuming that Culdcept will be a joint localization/publishing between Capcom and NEC. Unfortunately, since no NEC rep was around and nobody at Capcom knew anything about it and is not listed in their press kit, I couldn't find any more information.

Kid, have you played the Japane...wait a minute. That was about to be a stupid question, wasn't it.
Of course you haven't played it. You've got that "I'm not playing it if it's text heavy and not in English" syndrome.
Anyway, I own it for Dreamcast (Culdcept 2, that is) and must say that in any language, it'd be an excellent buy. Now that it's in English, you have all the more reason to pick it up.![]()
This was by far the best news at E3 for me.
There was a lady at the kiosk on the second day that knew how to play the game and answered some of my questions on it, but she was the only one at the Capcom booth that knew a single thing on the game.
I played through the Japanese Dreamcast version and loved every second of it, yet didn't know what about 1/5 of the cards were used for. Getting this game in English is a blessing.
Also, not be be a bitch, but the name is spelled Culdcept

This news makes me very very happy!
Laziness has really paid off for me. I kept putting off buying the DC rev.... and now I get to buy it in English!![]()
Fixed spelling errors. Hey, I have no real interest in the game, just trying to inform everyone else that will be.
