Good, kill it off. Preferably before the third one gets released.
| :: | The End Of PSO
Phantasy Star Online addicts are getting the shock of their
lives as Sonic Team announced the third game, "C.A.R.D
Revolution" will be the last. While talking to Japan's
Famitsu magazine, Sonic Team said there will be no more PSO
titles on any console, current or future. No reasons for
this bizarre choice where given, but despite the successful
sales of the series, Sonic Team must have been working on
these titles for four or five years now. Perhaps it's about
time they move on.
( o ) No NiGHTS, No Crazy Taxi, No Shenmue
In speaking with Japanese Dorimaga magazine, Sega talked
about several franchises, most notably those that do not
have a future.
Crazy Taxi is over and done with, and according to Sega
will probably never be remade again. NiGHTS was also listed
as a game Sega have nothing in the works for, and may never
deliver a sequel to.
Shenmue III has not been given a green light to go ahead
with development. But if the third title was to be created,
Yu Suzuki stated that the final 16 chapters would all be
squished into the one last game.
Finally some good news, a sequel to Shining Force is still
in the works, despite no news for over a year.
Good, kill it off. Preferably before the third one gets released.

PSO C.A.R.D. looks stupid as all hell, but I'm a little upset about this. As well as the other games mentioned.. At least we may yet see a Shining Force.
Well I can't say I'm sad about any of this news... though I would like a chace to try he Nights series... you know, wihout spending a ton of money...
Yep, Gamefront mentioned this last week, though they phrased it as Sonic Team saying there would be no Episode 4, perhaps the series would continue with a new name?

Worst news ever.

Card battle could be fun. It'll definitely have more strategy then PSO. It just seems like a really flashy Magic the gathering/Yugi - o. Which believe it or not, makes you think a lot more than most video games. That's a good thing since those two games are a lot more expensive then a video game to play.
A Shining Force Online would be cool. SFO!![]()
That would be sad. So much more can be done with it on more powerful consoles(I.E. bigger parties). =/
well, i can't blame them for not wanting to do another. i just hope CARD Revolution ends the series gracefully.
this also makes me wonder if they're gonna bother with an xbox port. would be a shame if they didn't.
