Thread: The Big O Season Two - series finale on Sunday November 2nd at 11pm

  1. It was produced in Japan and is currently airing on Japanese television. I think Cartoon Network just helped throw in the cash to make the second season possible.

  2. I'm with Regus on this one, I couldn't get into this one at all. It just didn't feel right and went absolutly no where.

Has it really been five years?

  4. Man, I thought I was the only one that disliked this show!

It started out with a cool premise (a city-wide memory wipe, the appearance of giant robots and the creation of mediators to end conflicts), but the writers seem to have forgotten what the show was supposed to be about halfway through.

Every now and then we get glimpses of what happened, like the story with the General, but then it turns into a giant robot battle and back to the status quo.

And I agree with Ammadeau in that the show had no tension. As mentioned, only the appearances of the bandaged man made me sit up at attention when watching.

Admittedly, the final 2 episodes were very good. They're the only reasons I'm coming back for Season 2.

  5. I like the show myself. I'll be looking forward to when new episodes start...it's been a while since I've seen the show.

It's going to be another 13 episodes, though there are hints that another season may be made after this one. Going by Newtype it rescently finished it's run in Japan.
Taking it one day at a time.

  7. Brotherman is right on. Cartoon Network seems to have the option for an additional 26-episodes after these 13 new episodes, potentially ending the series at 52 episodes.
