ah gotcha. love your av btw![]()
It's not launching as a GH... it's replacing VF4 as a GH title, much like Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams replaced the original SH2 when it was a GH title.
If my memory of her has an expiration date, let it be 10,000 years.

most of you guys are insane. Tekken and VF are soooooo different it's not even funny.
i understand comparing them cause they're the big 3D fighters out there, but comparing them as far as gameplay goes, that's just nuts. they're so different.
anyways, if Sidez is willing to scan his cover, i'll gladly pick the game up![]()
Exactly. If anything is a dumbed down VF.. it is DoA, which ACTUALLY USED the VF engine. Tekken gets way too much flack. 4 was disappointing, but the series still rules.

CRAB PEOPLE!!!! CRAB PEOPLE!!!! TASTE LIKE CRAB, TALK LIKE PEOPLE!!!
4 is the only Tekken game I'd be ashamed to own. The other games, particularly Tekken 3, rule.
Every series has a game that sort of tarnishes it. VF had 3, and Tekken had Tekken 4, and maybe Tekken Tag, which should have just been a mode in Tekken 3, instead of a full game.

I just read through page 2 of this thread, and I have something to say:
The complaining about the GH red stripe on the boxart is the most hilariously stupid thing I've read all week.![]()

Eh? TTT is the best game in the series. Was the addition entire Tekken 2 cast(Minus 2 clones), new music, new levels, new endings, new minigame, new moves, new graphics, and a ton of gameplay tweaks not enough?
TTT was tarnished due to basically being an add-on sold at $50. The gameplay was also mostly unchanged from 3, which is a shame since every previous game in the series saw at least had some evolution from game to game. TTT was the least-fun game in the Tekken series for me. I had more fun with the damn bowling mini-game than the actual game itself.

Perhaps being sold as a full price seperate game may be much for many, but just an extra mode? No way. Gameplay was changed(It's not a sequel, don't expect a T2-3 jump), it's better than every other game in the series. Get some friends and play VS, I know this may be hard for you.
Tekken is totally different from VF yes, but it definitely isn't in VF's league IMO. So I don't really mind when they get compared cause I think it's pretty obvious which game does more, even if they're totally different.
Tekken 4 is a dumbed down VF though. They tried to add 3D movement to the series but forgot one of the most important things a 3D/movement fighter should have. A freaking block button. Constantly having to push back after moving up, down, right, upper right etc. when you see a move coming really screws up the flow.
The most similiar series to VF would have to be SC. With the ring outs, walls, create your own combo attacks, block button etc. Which also explains why these two series are considered the best in the genre by many.
