If having thousands of SNES, NES, and Genesis games on CD counts, then I suppose. I'm sorry, but I can't be bothered with tracking down obscure games for systems that I don't even own anymore.
Was there ever a game you wanted really bad and couldn't find it or the price was to high for your tastes? Have you done the unimaginable and copied, burned, etc a pirated game?
Personally, I haven't but I have thought about numerous times. Getting my hands on Dragon Force has been a pain in the ass but I am still waiting for the deal to come along instead of pirating.

Well that's like, your opinion, man.
Despite my extreme anti-piracy stance, technically the answer is yes. I own a beta copy of Thrill Kill. There is no other way to buy the game, so I feel there is no harm in owning it. Had it been released commercially I would have bought it.
If I can't buy something new, I have no problems emulating/pirating it. And I won't buy used games if I can get them new. If the publisher and developer aren't getting my money, I don't care how I get the game.
Any of you "emulating 10 year old games is EVIL" loons who've ever bought a used game when you could've bought it new can blow me.
Not that I disagree with you, but buying a used game is nothing like piracy. The game was still purchased, all that has happened is a transfer of ownership.Originally posted by Saint of Killers Any of you "emulating 10 year old games is EVIL" loons who've ever bought a used game when you could've bought it new can blow me.
Saint of Killers,
There is no need for insults. How about we keep this on topic and not steer it into another piracy debate? There are enough of them anyway. If you want to discuss the issue of piracy vs buying used games, make a new topic(hopefully with less insults.) I'd hate to see another topic derailed into a flame war that will go nowhere. Now, before I drag this topic too far into off topic land, I'll end this.

I don't care what you do with your money (nor do I particularly care if you pirate every new release that you can get your grubby little hands on). By all means, purchase all the used games you want. I do object to people who occasionally buy used to save $10 who rant on and on about the evils of eumlation and pircay of dead games. Which do you honestly think hurts the industry more: downloading ROMs, which prevents money from going to Funcoland and eBay sellers, or buying used when you could buy new, which prevents money from going to developers and publishers?
It's a thread about piracy. It's gonna contain piracy debate.Originally posted by UndeadKing

That's why developers need to make games that people actually want to keep and don't sell back a week after they purchase it.
Saint of Killers,
The topic never asked for your opinion on piracy. Had it, I could've sat here and typed a long winded article stating my thoughts on the matter that would change no one's opinion. It is simply asking if you've been driven to piracy for one reason or another. However, I cannot stop you. I just figured it would be respectful to Hot Like Wasabi to stay on topic. If you want to continue this debate, go right ahead. This is the last I will say on this matter. In fact, I should've never said anything in the first place....
