New Phantasy Star remake screenshots...

New remake screenshots here

(The page contains a mix of new and old screenshots, but I'm sure you'll be able to work out which is which. The ones with brighter colours and a more anime styling are the old ones, and the darker ones are the new improved version)

Well, after a set of Japanese fans went up in arms and complained to D3 about the fact that Odin looked like Goku, they've apparently changed it to something FAR more fitting, and I couldn't be happier.

Additionally, the petition they set up asked for PSIII to be remade as well as for the story of Laya and Orakio to play more of a part in PSIV. Unfortunately it looks like that won't happen, but the fact that they changed the look of Phantasy Star is certainly promising.

Odin's art looks MUCH better now... but I'm still not too keen on the big close-up of Arisa on the status screen at the bottom. Overall, though, I'm stoked...

I'm pretty sure I've seen that before, and it's pre-overhaul.

That's old. Very old. Likely been redone with everything else.
