A word become 'valid' as soon as people understand it as having meaning. Once "bling bling" began to mean something to a good number of people, then it became a word that belonged in a dictionary.
That doesn't make it a good word, exactly; I wouldn't like to see it make its way into common formal English use. However, there are a lot of accepted words, including virtually any word ending in -ize, that bother me way more than "bling bling" does.

Ugh. The dictionary was screwed over long ago, and I'm sure many of the words we would have no problem being in there, there was a fuss over a long time ago.

So sad that the phrase seems to originate from Hip Hop. Anyway if you start talking like that in the inner city you'll get stared down and probably beat down as well. As for shizzle and nizzle, these seem to be snoop's creation. For some reason, one day he created his own language and has rapped in it ever since. The escalades and bling bling seem to originate from the east coast and mid-west style rap.
Some people still take the culture seriously and are not demeaning it into pop or worse gangsta rap.
I don't know how to get rid of the huge space here.
