My favorite part: the rad (as always) Kota Hoshino soundtrack.
Anyone else here play it?
I was in Gamestop yesterday and found myself at the GC kiosk for several minutes playing what I thought was going to be a big, fat bust. It wasn't!
When Lost Kingdom the first was released, I bought it up with the quickness, and after several hours of playing, I returned it, having been severly disappointed. Throwing cards on the ground and watching my monsters was hardly cool. I wanted to have some measure of control over what they did, but the game just wasn't designed that way.
But Lost Kingdom II adds a play element that was indeed refreshing! The ability to transform into monsters and actively participate in the battles, rather than simply watch. It made the game!
I've only minutes of experience with it, so I don't know how exactly it stacks up against the first, but this new feature alone is driving me to purchase it. Anyone play it that can offer up a few impressions?

now i'm going to have to check this out...i really liked the first one, but it did get kinda boring just watching the fights, so this might be the ticket...Originally posted by Captain Vegetable

The first one was pretty good, but I spent $50 for it and it wasn't worth it. Im gonna wait on this one.

i didn't think much of this one when i previewed it. the gameplay just seemed so sluggish, and the summoned monsters so out of control. i didn't think much of the playbalance either.. but .. there may be something to it. i don't have time for games that leave me with such a mediocre impression though.
I saw this on sale for $40 at Gamestop...I regret not picking it up when I had the chance.
Right, because if anything validates the existance of a handheld piece of shit, it's taking those shitty handheld games and placing them on a screen big enough so that the inherent flaws of the software is visible to all humans. Including Ray Charles.
