good "SPAM killing" software?

email. i've grown tired of seeing "MAKE MONEY NOW!!!!!!!" AND "XXX LOLITA HARDCORE BESTIALITY!!!!" in my mail box.

Theres no software that can get rid of this stuff reliably. Some things, like SpamAssassin, is decent, but it takes a lot of time to set up.

The best thing to do it to get two new email addresses and then don't give the main one to anyone except trusted friends. Use the secondary one for everyone and everything else, for things like shopping and signing up for stuff. If you are careful you'll never start getting spam. I have not gotten spam in years.

Yup, I never get spam, for about 5 months now since i started using my current email. I make sure I know what I'll be getting when I give ie out.
Also, I doubt anyone has AOL, but it's got that handy feature to allow view mail from people you know.

Yep, this is pretty much your best bet, works for me. The only other thing that is actually effective, and doesn't automatically delete something you may want, it just creating custom filters, sending email with certain words in the subject straight to junkmail (because frankly, if you've got personal friends emailing you with 'penis' or 'hot shemale sex,' you might want to question who you're friends with ).

Anything I sign up for that even gives the remote chance I'll be getting unwanted spam from it I use my Hotmail addy, since it's so heavily spammed regardless because of M$ poor protection, what's a little more?

Everything else important I use my private addys for.
