  2. Seeing Fable get the RPG nod is nice. Good to see the Xbox seemingly have some RPG plans in the future.
    matthewgood fan
    lupin III fan

  3. I'd be baffled if anything but HL2 won the game of show.

  4. I'm still baffled that a video tape can win game of the show.

  5. A videotape telling of great things in the near future for us, Schlep. How could that NOT win game of the show?

I mean, with these other games we're already disappointed at the quality, right? But for Halflife 2 we won't have these problems for a while now, giving us time to relish (and ketchup! HAHAHAHA!) in the glory.

I can't believe I thought of that ketchup thing. Pure gold.

Oh, I get it; so when Half Life 2 is on demo, THEN people can talk crap about it. It's overrated, over-hyped, just another FPS, blah blah blah?

  7. If a video is much more impressive than anything playable, why shouldn't it win?

  8. Were any of you who are saying how impressive the video was compared to anything else, actually there to play the games at the show?

I watched the videos of HL2 and Halo 2, and thought, "Yeah, that was awesome...wish I could play it," and moved on to what I could play. I certainly had more fun playing Viewtiful Joe, Crystal Chronicles and I-Ninja than I did watching either trailer.

  9. Any site that doesn't give Half-Life 2 game of show is run by idiots. That's pretty much all there is to it. No game at E3 looked half as good.

I suppose this is directed at me, but I can't see where I said that the Half Life video was better than any of the playable games. I'm merely pointing out that if someone or something (in this case, Game Critics, although pretty much every gaming website in existence seems to agree with them) feels that a video is the most impressive thing at the show, there is no reason they shouldn't give it their best of show award.

You having more fun with other games doesn't invalidate Game Critics' opinion. Feel free to make a Schlep's Best of E3 Awards.
