Eidos giving gamers what they want
Eidos Interactive has announced that their highly anticipated Timesplitters 2 will be coming to both Xbox and Gamecube, in addition to the previously announced Playstation 2 version. Under development by Free Radical Design, whose members are primarily from the GoldenEye development team, Timesplitters 2 will hit all three consoles this fall.
"We are extremely excited to announce that TimeSplitters 2 will be released on all the next generation gaming consoles," said Mike McGarvey, CEO of Eidos Interactive. "Xbox and GameCube owners will welcome the opportunity to experience the stunning graphics and amazing gameplay that TimeSplitters 2 has to offer."
Timesplitters 2 will feature fully developed single and co-op player modes, combining objective-based missions with narrative cut-scenes. The animation system has been completely re-written from Timesplitters, now featuring a full physics system incorporating inverse-kinematics. The MapMaker will be returning, allowing gamers even more freedom in creating custom levels for multiplayer play.
