Holy shit, I hate this game because of it's theme song alone. Good day![]()
OFFICIAL WEBSITE!!!
I was extremely disappointed in Sega for destroying Propeller Arena. Not only did we have a release date, but screen shots, and even gameplay footage! But, after the attack on the US World Trade Center, Sega viewed the release of the game in poor taste. I can't blame them for delaying the release...but swamping the game all together?! Intollerable. I will forever look upon Propeller Arena and mourn it's still birth.
BUT!
There's a new game gunning for us from the company so many of you love to hate, Midway, that could give us what we're looking for, with a lot more added personallity and flare. Freaky Flyers! Promising racing, stunt flying, dogfighting, and an adventure mode wherein story arcs are explored to their fullest; all to take place between 13 original and colorful arial acrobats, among outrageously exadurated landscapes including Arabia, Danger Island, and Coyote Canyon; I couldn't be more please with the apparent death of the aforementioned Propeller Arena!
Check out the official website (LINKAGE, for those who missed the glaring portal at the top of the thread), and hopefully you'll be as excited for this game as I am.
Discuss.
Having to be near the playing of Freaky Flyers has taught me the true value of headphones.

Midway.... I don't have much faith in this company.
Hey Capt, I'll be in Vegas next month to follow up on my report from last year. I am sure BenT and Raymond Padilla from GameSpy will also be there to come back with impressions as well.
Plus, I am looking forward to ESPionage and Spy Hunter 2.
Thing I wish I'd done at E3 in retrospect- tell someone at Midway exactly how little shelf-space that Freestyle Metal X game is going to get from me where I work. I have to look at those shelves every day, you can believe I'm not going to be staring at that thing (each one with a different crap cover for the different systems) every time I walk past whatever section I'm tidying up at the moment.
I kind of like Midway, sometimes. I've got hope for Freaky Flyers, all they really have to do to hook me is reproduce the Diddy Kong Racing mini-planes and I'm there, the rest will just be icing on the cake.
Now where's my SF Rush 2049 II?
James
