bibleman is a direct-to-video series, and as far as i know, there haven't been any videogames based on the character. surprisingly, the show isn't nearly as entertaining as that picture makes it seem. ..aside from the novelty of seeing buddy lembeck dress up in molded rubber suits while quoting bible verses, of course./

Awesome site. And they LOVE Catechumen!!!

I love this quote about DOOM:
It is not illegal to kill demons but this game definitely teaches to shoot first and ask questions later. As stated earlier your "friends" have now become the enemy and you must kill them to survive. Unlike police training where you are taught to identify "good guys" from "bad guys", anything that moves is your enemy and should be blasted instantly--even your friends! Extra points are given for a shot in the head.
Since when can you get headshots in DOOM?

    Various other fun random quotes:

    Resident Evil Remake:
Thankfully there was no use of God's name in vain, but there are instances of h*ll, d***, and s***, which weren't necessary.
They have to censor the word "hell"...?!?

Though free of bad language, "Metal Gear Solid 2" is not free of questionable sexual morality. Posters of near naked women adorn the occasional level, and sure enough the lead female character doesn’t wear any more than a swimsuit.
    Silent Hill
Some of the most blatant Satanic references that I’ve seen include crayon drawings of the crucifixion hanging on the walls of an elementary school, a crucified man inside a fishing boat, upside down crosses, and occult symbols on the TV screens of the shopping center. There is a horrifying number of occult symbols used to solve puzzles in the game.

I encourage strong Christians to play this game with a prayerful attitude, but ONLY if it is used as a witnessing tool, or as a learning tool.

Overall this game is extremely well done, but dark to the core. Since before my salvation I had deep experience with the occult, and with the morbid things that this game portrayed, it did not effect me as it would have. I do not recommend this game for the physically or spiritually weak.
    Pokemon:
Let us pray that we will become godly parents and leaders who will be able to guide our children into the reality of living in the light of the Word. Let us also pray for spiritual direction for all the programmers, designers, and marketers of video games to be led by the Holy Spirit, instead of the spirit of darkness.
"Castlevania: Circle of the Moon" is rated "T" for "teen". Heed the rating. No one under ten should play this, and it may be best untouched by teens and adults due strictly to the occultic nature. Children and teens need to learn that magic, whether white or black, and other occultic material, is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.
"occult" is an adjective as well as a noun. "occultic" is bad grammar.

    Them wacky Christians!

  3. What better way to brainwash your children than with Christian video games.

    Their motto: "If you can't beat'em, join'em."

  4. Damn, Catechumen is a REAL game !!!

  5. HEY! No knocking Bible-man.

  6. Actually, now that I think of it, I remember seeing some commercials for Bibleman once. Seemed like good, wholesome, holy fun.

  7. Oh man, this stuff is classic.

However, from the standpoint of a Christian, the game is utterly revolting. I played hours of it before the Lord sincerely convicted me to the heart about the sinful nature of the game.

    ...

"Quake 3" numbs the conscience to sickening amounts of blood. Besides the violence and gore, the game is filled with demonic symbols like pentagrams because id Software thought they would look cool. A few of the characters in the full version are scantily clad to prey on the weaknesses of teen-aged boys.

  8. There are also Bibleman live shows.

  9. Some new favorites of mine:

"Phantasy Star Online" is one of those rare games that I believe is totally alright in God's eyes. Highly recommended.

"alright"? God LOVES that game. He runs a 193rd Level HUmar named "Yaweh_Or_Da_Highway".

Secondly, there is evil out in the world. Unfortunately, it's come in the form of the Gameshark in the PSO world.

Actually...yeah...I'm not arguing this. The Gameshark is probably one of the many tools of Satan.

There's a link to another site in those reviews, The Sheppard's Staff
which isn't as thorough or board a site. However it too is amusing.

I love the description of Baulder's Gate (and he further goes to point out that it's sequals and basically all D&D games are in this review). The game has very good graphics, gameplay and is addictive. It is also purely satanic.

OOOH! So close to being a good game.

Sheppard's Staff has the added bonus of pre-organizing thier games into catagories:

    Exceptional (a.k.a. Christian games)
Acceptable (a.k.a. 'Pretty much just board games')
Marginal (a.k.a the start of the actual good games)
    Unacceptable (")
    and
    Unworthy (")

So you can jump STRAIGHT to the heathen pagan goodness!

    Among the games truely unworthy:

Balder's Gate and it's sequels, prequels, and all D&D games
    BMX XXX by Acclaim
    Duke Nukem and follow ons
    Dungeon Keeper by Bullfrog
    Hexen and its follow ons
Sin and Expansion pack Wages of Sin
    Thief: The Dark Project

    aaaannnnnnd.

Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail by 7th Level

BEHOLD! Eric Idle is that which must not speak his name.

  10. Blaine, I'm amazed there's no mention of Diablo in your post. I mean, common on. The name says it all
