    beyond that,does doom give points?

We had this site mentioned before in a silent hill thread, but yeah, the guy seesm a bit overzealous. While i have no objections with pso,i figured the reviewer would be ticked that a lot of the mags are named after various incarnations of krishna, and the fact that all non robots can use "magic" (well, techniques, but seriously, who dosent call it magic online?).I think this reviewer throws out he baby with the bath water too often, the silent hills have a uniquely moral hero. The first one is a caring father and the other is a loving husband, and your guy dosent take part in any occult activities,he just kills a lot of monsters.

    I'm sure they do.
you have to admit, seeing an iksar shaman extolling the gospels would rank as one of the wierdest head trips that i ever had. i can imagine the conversations at the church "how did you find out about jesus?" "a spell casting lizard told me"

Nope. At the end of every level it does tally how many kills you made, how many secrets you found, etc, but there's no points awarded. Heh, like it would make a difference if there were...

I'll say! I got an episode once as a gag gift and it was pure hilarity

Bibleman: Do you have idea why Jordan has all this anger inside of him.

Grandmother: No I don't... Oh wait! This might help! Last year, his parents died in a car accident. But I thought he was already over it!

Oh man, if I ever encountered such a jackass in a game I was paying fifteen bucks a month to play, I would do my damnedest to get him banned for life. People aren't paying those absurd fees to be proseletyzed to, nor are game companies paying for servers so they can give anybody - religious group or otherwise - free ad space.

That idea actually has been in my head for a while, but i was seeing more of a devil may cry/gun valk type system, with combos, multiple melee weapons, and a more inventive ranged weapon system, with direct blasts, homing bladed feathers, and summoned plague weapons for indirect combos. the story could set it as a kind of siege into hell to rescue some innocent soul or something, each level of hell could be a different contemporoary vision of hell, and the angel could discover new powers (like a rapid firing seraphic form,or a fast, powerful lion/humanoid form) by rescuing other stolen innocent souls. it could even branch by your decisions, and you could theoretically "Fall" and start ignoring your rescue quest in favor of taking over, or you could play the good angel, and do some cleaning of the devil's commanders. maybe even give the different angels a gundam mech/dragon, type look. (yeah, i have thought a lot about this game)

  9. Here is another great Christian Video Game review site:

    http://www.almenconi.com/topics/games/reviews.html

    Some great quotes:

    "CONCLUSION
Clive Barker's Undying is, by far, the worst game I have ever played. I can easily say that there are no redeeming qualities in this entire game. It is a game that I am certain Satan would approve of."

    "CONCLUSION
Many Christian gamers excuse all of the fantasy occult magic and murder for fun violence as okay because they are playing the good guys. Diablo 2 forces any gamer--Christian or otherwise--to participate in a system where it is impossible to tell the good guys from the bad guys due to both sides using copious amounts of black magic and murder to win. The Paladin character is considered the most righteous character and many "Christian" gamers like to play him. He is a Knight in shining armor who uses magic to heal him and other players and to create magic protection auras. Even dabbling in the occult is forbidden in the Bible and this character uses occult magic with one hand while cleaving enemies with his sword in the other hand. Christian gamers need to wake up and see the deep level of compromise they make with their faith when they submerge themselves in the virtual world of Diablo 2."

Max Payne: "Max Payne is a very violent and bloody third-person game. When you shoot someone, the bullets that hit the people make blood come out. You don’t actually see any visible bullet holes in the enemies or any internal organs, but the amount of blood that flies out of the bodies more than compensates for this. When a person dies in the game, they hit the ground with a scream and their faces have the look of death on them. "

    No duh
