Thread: Peter Moore inserts foot in mouth

I don't see any reason why I should be forced to play a game with another person to achieve the "full experience".

    Thats bullshit.

If I play a game with another person, its gonna be a fighting game... none of this "OMFGPACMAN" shit.

Then tell me what makes it so remarkable instead of just saying over and over 'it's really remarkable.' Because it's obvious I'm not seeing, but you're still not actually explaining it.

    So far I know:

    1. It unlocks things
(useless, should be part of the game itself.)
    2. Seperate screen for other players
(doesn't compare to system link imo)

What else is there to it?

Nintendo made it, so its automatically wonderful.

    Duh...

  4. Everyone knows that. Best feature EVAR !!!

  5. gb connectivity=dumb gimmick

    peter moore speaks the truth.

  6. I love Nintendo, but connectivity is pretty suck so far.

The best use by far has been the DLable NES games, and those could have been put on a $30 cart.

  7. is suck and always will be. anybody who buys into this crap has too much money to waste.

  8. The far the GBA/GCN connectivity schtick seems like a fairly lame gimmick to me. The games don't seem interesting. The Pacman game sounds like it would be fun as an internet shareware game... but that's it.

I think the notion of using GBAs as Gamecube controllers is ridiculous. They're expensive, lack buttons, and are non ergonomic. Sure, it's nice to have a secret screen built into the controller for certain games - but that's what the VMU was for. Nintendo (and the other console manufacturers) should have included this kind of functionality in the original controller for these kinds of things.

Meh...It's just too convoluted and pricey for what it offers.

  9. I agree with Peter Moore.

Oh yeah, added value to the thread right there.

    LOL

I liked Pacman GC when it was in every online PC first-person shooter as a Capture the Flag, Tag, or Race mod, and handicap deathmatch. It also looked better and didn't require me to buy into gimmicks to play an ancient game in multiplayer.

Four Swords GC wasn't even awesome when it was Four Swords GBA. It was already old and derivative of every Gauntlet-style dungeon crawler ever made. I liked it when it was called Diablo and Phantasy Star Online.

I'll give you Crystal Chronicles since I'm interested in it, but I won't give you the fact that it requires GBAs as controllers for multiplayer. That's lazy game development, as there are dozens of other ways they could implement a menu system without making me spend an extra $110 dollars to be able to equip a new sword.

You're being a stupid fanboy, and you're falling for Nintendo's PR bullshit. I'll gladly allow you to waste money on Nintendo's money-sucking gimmick device.
