Holy crap! Treasure developed Wario World??

johnk_ owns you all, Wario World was fun to play before I knew Treasure made it and just as fun since I've known.

June 24th...too bad I won't get paid til a few days later. I doubt it'll sell out though.

The overall argument against Gutsman isn't very well conceived, though. If I heard a new 3D fighter was coming, then I would probably be more excited about it if it was from a company with the pedigree of Sega or Namco than if it was from Acclaim or Eidos (for istance). I can make that assumption sight-unseen. Perhaps I like the way Namco makes 3D fighters, so even if I wasn't interested in some random title before, knowing Namco made it may cause me to investigate.

Gutsman's case, he likes the type of games Treasure makes, so he becomes more interested in a particular game, now knowing Treasure makes it, since he expects it to retain some of what he likes in their other titles.

Pretty simple, guys.

Yeah, but this is more like if a fighting game came out under Capcom's publishing, and then you find out they sub-letted one of their franchises to SNK. Capcom or SNK, you still have a good idea that the game will be playable, not a joke.

i wasn't excited about it til i played it and it turned out to be more like a beat em up. quite a suprise for me at the time.

Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have worded the topic in such a n00bish way, but I was just surprised to find out that Wario World was developed by Treasure. I actually was already interested in Wario World to begin with, but I just totally didn't expect it to be developed by a company like Treasure. I mean even though Treasure isn't the best developer in the world they do have a unique style to all their games. I'm just eager to see how Treasure will add their own flavor and style to a platformer like Wario.

I believe I saw the game two days ago, weird that we got it before NA, I'm not interested in it since I've never played a Wario game before but Treasure's involvement does add someting. Not as much as they did when working on Gradius, that just went to a must have from the early rumor pages.

I bought Stretch Panie yesterday, I really like it, fun little game. Not worth full price but worth the 1500Y I payed for it. I`m looking forward to Wario World, looks nice. Hooray for being positive.

I'm quickly learning that while this board has many well-informed gamers, it's also home to some of the most self-important pricks, most know-it-all "1337 hardcore" assholes in all of internet messageboard land.

Now it's cool to dismiss Treasure's games as "nothing special"? lol. If I ever get as crotchety and desperate for attention (internet messageboard attention no less) as some of you I hope somebody puts me out of my misery.

These threads are informative though. Now I know whos future posts to simply skip over seeing as how they've proven a complete lack of credibility.
