Thread: GBA SP hardware question

  1. GBA SP hardware question

When the SP battery is changed or replaced, does the entire bottom panel come off like a cell phone battery?

I ask because I'm interested in getting a special edition SP but I don't want to end up with a mismatched battery down the road when it runs out and Nintendo doesn't see fit to manufacture replacement batteries in all the colors of the rainbow.

  2. I don't believe so. Check out GameStop they have replacement battery kits that look like they're just batteries.

from what i understand the batteries are just small well batteries inside the SP

Nyko i think it is i forget anyway there is a third party company that has allready released replacement batteries for it and its just this small battery

    not the whole back

  4. I've also seen extended use batteries (from Nyko I believe) replace the back of the case. Is this unique to the extended batteries?

Are you asking if the SPs battery is attached to the battery cover? If so, its 2 separate things.
