Yeah, but it pales in compairson to the laugh riot that is:

    TEH HOLOCAUST!!1

  2. While I understand the seriousness in the messege the videos are trying to convey, I can't help but laugh at its over-the-topness.

Maybe if it was done in a more effective and serious thought provoking manner then I wouldn't laugh at these themes but boy, just look at the acting on those guys.

Thanks for clearing that up. I realise that they weren't intended for the Comedy Network but a lot of people in the thread thought they were funny. All I did was disagree.

This thread got seriously fucked up.

  4. Abortion? Why would anyone anywhere have a problem with abortion? Talk about a non-issue...

A person willfully victimizing another in some kind of mad power trip, on the other hand, is just wrong. I've always thought that the best solution for these people was the bullet in the face method.

I wonder how many people will think that first paragraph is sarcastic in some way?

  7. Not a pleasant video, but not exactly a pleasant subject either.

Used to live in Calgary, incidentally.

  8. Meh. I don't see the need for such ads, I do my part by not hitting women (ever).

    Disturbing, though.

That's "nuked," as in deleted. Not just moved to FC.
I don't think that censorship is the answer. The message, regardless of how "eye-opening" it is, cannot reach the public if there is no exposure. Although there are some commercials I find unintentionally funny (such as for Life Alert, Hover Round...) the abuse videos are definitely not on the list.

And someone asked why she didn't fight back. These were supposed to symbolize abuse within the home, where fighting back will probably only hurt the woman more. It's not like she could just leave lickety split, because most would never leave their children with a man like there abusive husband, and it would be hard making a living with half of the income gone.
