I think the hardest game in recent years, that isn't a shooter, is MDK2. Definitely an accomplishment to have beaten it.

Maximo was challenging, but wasn't all that difficult really. The boss fights were a joke.

I can't believe someone mentioned Kid Icarus. It's not difficult at all.

me and my older brother beat that game. If your wondering why we played it, let's just say new games were few and far between. I really hated being a poor ass black kid in the hood back then.

I'm well aware of where I stand as far as skilled gamers go (DMC on Normal made me sweat) so I usually throw in the towel early on with the really tough ones like Super Monkey Ball and most shooters.

Sometimes I perservere though. I was pretty proud of getting 100% in Crash 1 and Mischief Makers and for beating the first Wipeout at all.

Very true. It's stupid hard, but the game is worth beating. It's also my vote for hardest game ever... it and Target Earth.

The same reason I played it through, except I wasn't black and in the hood.

But it was still damn hard.
