Why is this such a big deal? I'll never understand the childish fasicnation with stuff like this. If this is such a big deal to you then you must have some issues with your own sexuality. I'm sure I'll get all the childish replies...like "You are teh ghey", and crap like that....grow up people. Gay people are just like everyone else, they should be treated with respect and dignity just like any other human being. Ugh.....

I know HJ was gay, as was Silhouette (Ursla Zandt) a lesbian for sure, that's why she was booted from the MM, but what causes you to think CM was gay?

Scare? No. It's the fact that companies go out of their way to highlight them that irritates me. Don't tell me there is a large enough market to warrant a gay comic book character. The only reason to create one is as a publicity stunt. Frankly, the gay people out there should be pissed off that their cause is being cheapened as a marketing tactic.

I think a lot of people read The Authority; I don;t know that Marvel would have done this if not for the overwhelmingly positive reaction that series recieved, especially among the gay community.
