I think Karen is hilarious on Will and Grace ;_; It's not really any worse of a show than any of those other crappy sitcoms out now. Seinfeld still rules. rawr!
Never said it was original. Just good to see it. A well written comic with diverse characters.
Yeah it was. Until Millar took over.Originally posted by Abobo

Yeah, I hate the gays too.Originally posted by Yoshi
Scare? No. It's the fact that companies go out of their way to highlight them that irritates me. Don't tell me there is a large enough market to warrant a gay comic book character. The only reason to create one is as a publicity stunt. Frankly, the gay people out there should be pissed off that their cause is being cheapened as a marketing tactic.
And as was bound to happen, the thread devolves into high comedy. Can I just point out here that any references to this series should be in the past tense, what with it being over and done with for the last month and a half?
It was a mildly entertaining read all around, and now it's done. It didn't feel like a cheap stunt in terms of the story, although the marketing was something else again, and it all turned out ok in the end. Give 'em a week and we'll see the trade paperback collection.
As for Alan Moore, between Top Ten and Promethea he's got all sides covered. Now where's my Top Ten 2?

[nitpick]Wasn't he in Alpha Flight, not X-Men?[/nitpick]Originally posted by ShineAqua
But it was already done. North Star is a X-men character who is gay (the first in a major comic series,) and can you guess what his powers are? He's really fast and he can FLY. Figures that the gay character can fly.
He did make his first appearance there though (I think).
It also took years for them to finally come out and say he was gay.
