Thread: Giant sea specimen baffles scientists

  1. Giant sea specimen baffles scientists

    Giant sea specimen?!

The information seems inconclusive at this time, but it could turn out to be pretty neat.

Oh my! That thing is scary. I can see 20 scientists just standing there poking it with sticks seeing if it moves and saying "What the hell?"

There was speculation that the mass might be a whale skin, but Cabrera said it was too big and did not have the right texture or smell.

A Reuters report this morning raised the possibility that it might be whale blubber.

Which is not nearly as cool as a giant sea creature.

  4. Ha! I love stuff like this. Most people assume that there are a bunch of unknown species cruising the ocean depths, but it always shocking when one turns up that's SO DAMN BIG!!
