DDR Extreme PS2 announced.

Looks like DDR Extreme is coming to the JPS2 on 10/9. Pretty soon, really, as it seems like DDRMAX2 came out five minutes ago.

Anyway, I can't say that I hate DDR. I'll probably end up getting this, as Extreme is probably my favorite mix.

Though, we've been waiting for IIDX 7th Style for how long, now?

What about GuitarFreaks? Stuck on, what, 4th Mix, when 9th has already hit arcades? Or even worse, what about poor PPP, which never even got to see 2nd at home?

At least Pop'n is making Konami huge sacks of money, so there is no fear in the home version going stagnant. However, because it IS currently the most popular of the Bemani games, that also gives Konami free reign to delay home mixes to get more money out of the arcade versions. *sigh*

I lost interest in DDR after 6th mix came out pretty much. I have like 3 Extreme machines close to me and I still haven't tried it.

Those bemanistyle chimps seem to think 7th Style will be out by the end of this year. I sure hope so.

Yeah, so I've heard. September should be quite the month. And goddamn, I want that Pop'N controller. I really don't want to have to use that little flat home one.

I've never played Pop'n in an arcade or with the ASC, but it is still damn fun with the little dinky one. One big gripe that I have is that the buttons are really fucking sensitive. Anyone who's used it can back me up here.

Jap DDRMAX is my favorite mix so far, does this new version compare favorably to the song selection on that one? I passed on MAX2 import, it didn't seem as good to me, so I'm hoping this is more akin to the first one.

I didn't care much for Japanese MAX. I just got the US version and it's awesome. It does have quite a few songs that are from older versions, but this really doesn't bother me since a lot of them are my favorites. I can't think of any song on the Japanese version that I like that's not on the US game.
