It's hillarious that people are upset that, if a male character is supposed to be 'kick ass' he should look it. No one complains that female characters don't necessarily 'look like they should'Originally posted by Nigel-The-Landstalker
Um, what?!?! I'm not sure how this is relevant. Please explain.
Case in point - DoA. 16 year old girls with boobs much larger than any full-grown woman. And they're ninjas. And they 'kick ass.' No one complains about the belivability of that. In reality, do you you think a DD breast kid could fight effectively? If someone could fight, chances are they aren't going to have a huge chest; likewise, they wouldn't be soft in the legs, arms, etc.
No one complains about how realistic females are drawn or rendered. That's fine - but likewise, don't complain about a guy not looking like he can kick ass. Because the reality doesn't matter - characters looks as they do to appeal to a certain asthetic, demograph, audience, whatever. So either don't worry about ANY kind of 'reality' to a game's character depiction, or worry about it all.
So...if you have no problem with DoA, you shouldn't gripe that Castlevania's men don't look like they can fight. OR, if you are so repulsed by the ludicrous idea of 'pretty boys' fighting hordes of the undead, I hope your hyper-anal analyzation extends to the believability of women in games, too.
Anything else would just be unfair.
