Thread: New Spider Man show on MTV

  1. Why MTV?

I swore that I would never watch that garbage network ever again. Damnit!

  2. Well, I'm sure it will hit DVD, or if it bombs on MTV, another Viacom-owned network will get it. TNN would be a good candidate for it, and would make more sense for it to be the network for it than MTV.

  3. Its all CGI, and I think they simply drew over it to give it a hand drawn look. Brian Michael Bendis also wrote a large chunk of the episodes. Been so long since I read about this I thought they had shelved it indefinitely.

I said that long ago, then they did "the maxx". All was forgiven, even the painful "the head"

  5. The Head was before The Maxx... and I enjoyed it, but then again, I was 12 or 13 at the time hehe... I have not watched MTV since Jackass stopped being new (Scratch that, 3 South was great), but it looks like I'll be watching it again. I can deal with a half hour a week with the devil

  6. Well, this first episode has been nice so far. Nothing spectacular though. The animation is decent, but some of it just looks very... bad. Like the cars in the opening thing. The second episode airs right after this one, and thirteen episodes of it have been made. Ethan Embry, the co-star of the latest Dragnet series, plays Electro/Max Dillon. Sweet. Nice first episode, although it's strange that they didn't have the first episode actually establish who the main characters are, which, while this is Spider-Man, is sort of a staple of TV shows. The Electro character design was nice.

  7. Well, just getting back from Orlando, and Universal's Islands of Adventures, where I rode the Spider Man ride like 10 times... came back and here it was. Sure it didn't look really pretty, but I'm on a comic book kick right now.

  8. I don't like the look of the show. The character models looks weird to me, especially their head/necks.I really liked the slow-mo stuff, but I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

This show really has an oddball cast of actors. Ian Zeiring, Neil Patrick Harris, Lisa Loeb. :/

Anyway, I think it's alright overall, I'll watch it, even if it does look odd.

  9. The only character model that I outright hated was the one for Harry, Harry should NOT be blonde...

I watched about ten mins. of the second ep., but it just got far too boring for me to want to sit through the whole thing.
