That's awesome. I went on a cruise in my sophomore year of high school with a buddy of mine and his parents and it was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. We did St. Thomas, St. Martin, Graneda (sp?), Aruba, and Caracas, Venezuela. There were things to do everywhere; the duty-free shops in St. Martin, submarine tours in Aruba, and a trek up through the mountains in Venezuela where I got to hold a boa constrictor and sit in a humvee going around these really wild turns. First off, if any of you are considering taking a vacation, nothing gives you more value for your money than a cruise. When my gf first approached me with the idea of a cruise, I was not interested at all. I figured that you just sat in a deck chair and did nothing. Man, was I wrong.
The food was fantastic, and the activities on the ship were top notch. I don't think it's possible to have a bad time on a cruise unless you're on the Titanic. Hehe. Motion sickness/sea sickness shouldn't be a problem, you hardly feel the boat moving at all in the really turbulent water.
