The times changed, and he didn't.
Sucks, but the market moved onto different games and he's barely involved in games anymore.
He was the greatest, but that post is now vacant.
Implying that all Americans (except for the l33t ones) are too uncultured to enjoy Miyamoto's shitty games is just as bad as me calling him a bitch for saying it.Originally posted by Lhadatt
Uhm, yeah.
There's nothing wrong with his comment. Keep that crap in FC, please.

or not? please enlighten us "Nintendo Super Fanboy!!!!!!!" cause im sure i love Nintendo much more and i sure as hell know he's right.
you're in denial
Yep, until Miyamoto gets back into actually making games instead of just approving his apprentices' work, his days as the greatest game maker are behind him.
I'd just like to see him direct one more game before he retires. If he doesn't, thats OK, cause Mario 64 sure is one hell of a way to go out.
Chaos Legion isn't a DMC clone. DMC is not very good, and Chaos Legion is.
It's been 7 years, I think it's a safe bet he's out.Originally posted by Kinopio

And you're jaded. You and the other turkeys should spend less time on the net(being all "hardcore" and stuff) and more time playing games. Miyamoto is in a position to have more influence over the company and we've already seen some results of that; MGS Twin Snakes, Sega(F-Zero), Namco(Starfox), Luigi, Pikmin, SMS(amazing platformer, get over yourself), Zelda(amazing game, get over yourself), better third-party relations, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Animal Crossing, etc, etc, etc... Miyamoto's influence is all over the place now. His creativity trickles down thru the whole company. Do you think ED or MP would have turned out so good without his influence? I don't. Stop beating a dead horse man, you have tunnel vision and your just plain wrong. Maybe you should lay off the smoke for a while eh?Originally posted by Lucas Barton

Twin Snakes, and their relationship with Namco is all Iwata's doing.
Miyamoto had nothing to do with Animal Crossing, that was all Tezuka.
Pikmin, he had the basic idea for the game, and just over saw it. best original GameCube game from Nintendo if you ask me. fantastic game.
Super Mario Sunshine, although a great game, was nothing too special, and definatley wasn't as good as the games in the series that he directed. that might have something do with the fact that his only invlovement with the game was testing the controls here and there, same goes with Wind Waker. Sunshine was pretty much Koizumi's baby, and Wind Waker was pretty much Aonuma's baby.
let's see, Prime, he over saw that, he had 2 other guys from EAD living in Texas to work on it. sure, he made them start over twice, but that's mainly because, 1. it was garbage, and 2. he had the power to do so.
Eternal Darkness, once again, he just over saw it, and had 2 guys from EAD living in Canada to work on it.
and last but not least...
here's a Miyamoto quote for you...
and what's he pretty much doing now? oh right, supervising."I don't know if I should say this... if I'm working as a supervisor, then I'm really not involved much at all. (laughs)"
i like all the games that you just mentioned, but give credit were credits due.
you know, for a self proclaimed Nintendo Super Fanboy, you sure don't know jack shit about the company. poseur.
