Kirby has LAN support but not F-Zero?
*shakes head*
In an article on Cube.IGN, it was revealed that the Kirby Air Ride import supports LAN play.
Anyone picking up the import here?
Yeah, it's very strange how that worked out.Originally posted by K3V

OMG LAN!!!... oh wait that is the thing that requires multiple systems, multiple TV's and multiple copies of the game... screw LAN!![]()
Sucks that F-Zero doesn't have it but I was planning on getting Kirby even without the LAN play, so this just makes it all the more sweeter.

I would rather have Online Play, but damn Nintendo for releasing a modem and a broadband adapter then not supporting it at all... if it wasn't for Sega there wouldn't be any online games at all for the GameCube.
Kirby's Air Ride isn't that good anyway, it looks like a last generation game and pales in comparison to the new Mario Kart and F-Zero games coming out for GameCube.
Yeah, LAN doesn't do shit for me. I don't know a single other person with a Gamecube, let alone one that would even think of touching a Kirby game.
It's a nice bonus for those going to use it I suppose.
A project to get online play working with LAN-based games on the GameCube has started.Originally posted by Werewolf

I'm sure GameSpy will attempt to bring GameCube tunnel software out, in similar fashion as the Xbox Tunnel. Maybe they can start development early now that Kirby has LAN support?
the latest build actually looks noticably better, and looks like great fun, but im only importing one game this month, and that's F-Zero.
probably give it a rental when it hits the states.

I never thought I'd see an online capable thing utilized in a lesser manner than the DC's BB adapter, but damn, Nintendo certainly is doing a fantastic job at wasting opportunities. On the upside, seeing LAN support being given a serious push in gaming is good. Sony never did jack to hype it, and at least Nintendo makes it seem like a special feature on the rare occasions it is implemented.
