From Spong:
i don't really care, but im sure many of you here do.Nintendo of America has, we think accidentally, revealed that an all-new Sonic the Hedgehog title is currently in development at Sega HQ. The news appears to have been leaked at the recent Nintendo Gamer Summit.
Exactly what the new outing is has not surfaced - the Nintendo representative did make clear that the game is not Sonic Heroes, leading us to believe that a new compilation, perhaps Sonic CD Collection, is on the way.
As soon as we know more, we'll let you know.

A new collection of games is fine by me. I've loved every Sonic Collection so far.

Probably a spin off. Either Sonic R type of game or pinball or soemthing. Maybe even Sonic RPG or golf. Can't stop using Sonic until you make every spin off possible.
Isn't Spong notorious for being rather untrustworthy? Didn't they post a fake news story that was posted as a trap on the gaming-age forums?
Whatever it is, it better have Sonic Fighters and that funky trackball isometric Sonic released in the arcades goddamnit!![]()
I wouldn't call the GC sonic assault milking though. They have more than enough reasons to do it.
1. It's making them money
2. Nintendo fans/GC owners most likely never gave any of the sonic games a decent shot considering their love for all things Mario.
3. No one probably gave the DC a decent shot, so SA1 and SA2 are brand new games to a lot of people.
4. Since Sonic team spent so much effort and moola on these DC games, might as well bring all of them to the cube to give them fairer shots at suceeding.(this goes for all the other DC porting every Sega company has done)
A new Sonic R would be most welcome!Originally posted by Captain Canuck
