Boom-boom-boom-boom-ayi-ayi-ayi-ayi!

That bane of anti-persperant sticks and apartment complex ceiling fixtures alike, Konami's Dance Dance Revolution, has finally spawned a stateside Disney-free sequel. Subtitled Konamix, the PSX title has been shipped and should be available at retailers this week.

Konamix features over 50 songs, most of which are new to the American home market and many of which will be unlocked after repeated play. In addition, Konamix includes an Edit Mode where players can create their own patterns, a Solo Mode with 6-button play, and a revamped Workout Mode.

There's no word on whether Konamix will be later released in a bundle with either a dance pad or Richard Simmons.
