  1. Mario Golf: Toadstool Party released

<img align="right" src="http://www.the-nextlevel.com/news/0307/mario.jpg">Nintendo has shipped to stores Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, the sporty four-player GameCube game starring Mario and company, with an MSRP of $49.99.

Warp pipes, Pirahna Plants, Chomp Chains and Thwomps are just some of the things Mario will have to contend with across 10 different play modes and a number of unlockable tournaments. Two more swing arrangements that add topsping, sidespin, or backspin for greater control and Game Boy Advance connectivity (characters from Mario Golf: Advance Tour are transferrable) are just some the new things added in this installment.

"With our one-of-a-kind golfing experience, Mushroom Kingdom Country Club has gone to great 'links' to satisfy players," says Mario, in a bit of PR fun. "Our free lessons, diverse personnel and eye-popping ambience are attracting prospective new members of all ages and skill levels. Plus, on my courses, you'll never have to wait for a tee time."

Toadstool Tour was developed by CAMELOT, the original designers of the series that dates back to 1999 with Mario Golf on the Nintendo 64.

It's tough to take a company seriously with things like that.

Was that actually in the PR blurb?

It was. The entire PR was written in that fashion so it took a while to find what was actually useful.

  5. Ack! Like I need another game to buy. Must resist...and yet...

So the mature attitude is history, eh?

    Unsurprising.
