Thread: High School for Gays in NYC.

  1. Well, that's partly because, as of the 90's or so, schools can't do dick to students. Corporal punishment is gone. Suspensions and Expulsions are the only real punishments left. And if the teachers do try to crack down, little Mr. Assholes parents will phone up the principle/superintendant and make threats about this and that, and the bully will get off scott free, or with a slap on the wrist.

Nothing is done about this situation because most people are blind to it, or feel that it's kids being kids. I say tell that to everyone at Columbine.
Never under any circumstance scrutinize the mastication orifice of a gratuitous herbivorous quadruped.

And it's sad that it has to be this way. Officials are too concerned about making sure a girl's shorts aren't 1cm too short than making an effort to try to change the way bullies are handled.

  3. How the hell do high school kids know if they're gay or not? A university I might be able to understand but this idea is all wrong. At that age segregation of any kind is not ideal IMO because when they come into the real world they'll have a harder time dealing with things.

  4. That is rediculous. Public funding should not be used for segregation of any groups of people. Now, if it was a private school, that would be perfectly acceptable, but as it stands now, this should be opposed in any way possible.
To understand man, walk it shoe on other foots.

My mom teaches 4th grade, and it's sometimes realliy hard to get a kid punished nowadays. I've heard stories about how one of her students stole another teachers' cell phone, how my mom has been threatened by one of her students, etc. Youth just shows no respect for authority nowadays; they don't understand the limits of free speech. The parents are the ones that fuel the fire, as they ususally believe their own terribly-behaving children over the teachers. Suspension is like a vacation to them, as their parents don't discipline their children in an effective manner. Sometime, the parents will see the truth and teachers will be able to have some authority again.

This just kicks sand in the faces of those who risked their asses to make a place for all Americans.

I mean am I wrong here people?
    Yes you are.

Please do not equate the civil rights struggle of my parents and grandparents with this nonsense. It is not the same thing.

Yet homeschooled children show no signs of this. Your theory just went to shit.

Because the fight for tolerance only aplies to issues that envolve skin color. Everyone else just has to deal with being treated badly.

  10. I don't really care that it exists, I just think its stupid.
