Like Cigs, I am also impressed with your use of shading as opposed to lines... I have tried that many times, but my withered shoe never looked quited as classy as your scene.
My wrist aches just imagining how long you must have sat in front of the paper, come to think of it, so does my butt, but that is probably the internet overall...
one of the most intriguing drawings was one that I saw on the wall of my life drawing class. It was a portrait of a man, using one line in pencil. The technique seemed to be similar to using a loom, or the way plotter printers draw.
(you may have seen plotters in hallmark card machines, or offices with a lot of money)
