    Well, Its a excellent setup, but little bit pricey. To cut some cost, you may want to opt for 512 Ram, plus if that Motherboard is Deluxe version, it comes with pretty good sound card, so you can save another 100 on Audigy. Replace Plextor CRW, with Lite-on, and save another $50.

    As for video card issue, Radeon 9700 Pro, is great deal. With new ATI line up, 9700 is getting cheaper, plus there is a problem with Nvidia cards, runnin HL2, and ATI card run it just fine.

  3. I had pretty much the same specs for about a grand, when I build mine, plus it was 4 months ago, and PC prices are known for lowering very fast.
