yeah, my friend thought that he could focus his energy
and make a ki ball in his hands. he was taking yoga or whatever
class would make you believe such things. Then he'd say that
I could feel the energy, and I tried, and I said, "there's nothing
there." So then he told me I had to feel it with my mind. or
something. I don't know.

He also had his ki push. It seemed to be about as hard as his regular
push, except that it would take him longer to get started.

There was a lot of talk about Ki and "pulling the energy from all around you" and it did IN FACT require you to say the name of your attack.
