What's the deal with this series? Good? Bad? Ugly...no. It most certain'y isn't ugly.

We got the first and second volumes in at work and I've been eyeing it for a bit. Based on what was said here about Full Metal Panic, I'll probably end up buy that one first, but I'll need something else to chew on while I wait for the next instalations of several series.

Anyone care to enlighten me?
