Thread: What system are you most suprised people dont have on TNL..

  1. I'd have to say the PS2. Even if you took out the DVD play-back and PSX compatability, the system still rocks. The library of games available for the system is just amazing and really blows away the other 2 consoles when it comes the sheer amount of great games available.

Anyone who does'nt own a PS2 is either:

    A) Still pissed off about the demise of the DC.

    B) Lacks cash flow.

    C) Ignorant, thinking there are only a few titles worth owning on the system.

    D) Forgetting what gaming is all about, fun.

Yes, you know my love for the C-64! Best gaming rig ever!

  2. Could you start a C64 thread? I'm interested in the format and thanks to Xbox emulation it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to get into it

On the nose. No matter how much a person can claim to "hate" Sony, you're going to pick up a PS2 game and play it at one point or another.

Alright, assholes: the ONE GAME the DC has, very near perfect, that no other console has or may ever have: Street Fighter 3. All of it. All 3 games in the series, a DC exclusive. AND the official Agetec sticks.

I'd think someone here not owning a DC would shock me more than a PS, or especially a PS2.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

  5. And Way of the Exploding Fist is another great C64 title.

My dad worked for Sperry (Aka: Sperry-Univac, Unisys) so there was no way in hell I was getting a C64. But hell, I got to play with REAL computers.

  7. Hrm. Yes, I do play PS/PS2 games...

... when they get ported to PC.

I own neither a PS or PS2, and see no real reason to buy one. There really isn't a single must-own game for the console that really interests me. I have one Playstation game, but I use an emulator to play that... and it's since been relegated to the back of the closet.

It's not that I hate Sony. I just have no real need or want for the console, so I can't justify the price.

    Just my $.02...

There's simply so much to be had on the system that not owning one just doesn't make sense.
Well, I must not make sense then. Don't have a PS2, don't want one - and I never even owned a Playstation. I hate the Sony corp with a passion, I have for many years before they even got into the console business. They get enough of my money ( whether I like it or not ) when I buy one of thier albums, see thier movies, etc. And other than a Virtual Boy I bought at Blockbuster for like $15 ( with two games and the rental case ) I've never owned a Nintendo console ( or GameBoy! ) for that matter. I played them over friends houses, etc. so I am familiar with all the games but I was too busy playing Into the Eagle's Nest on my Atari XE to care.........

Yeah? I'm actually surprised at the number of people who respond affirmatively whenever you mention the C64. Now and again I'm dying to play C64 games but mine is kaput. I wish I could find a Commodore 128 to replace it.
